Jamie Ford, B.Eng. (Hons), MIET, EngTech
Jamie Ford is the managing director of JTF Consultancy Services Ltd, which he runs with his wife, Stephanie. Jamie offers a wealth of experience from his non-standard introduction into all things electronic (read the article in the IIE Magazine here).

Having successfully developed his career in this manner, Jamie has gained technical and commercial skills at varying levels for more than twenty years, ten of which have been as a consultant. His
valuable hands-on experience from the bottom up enables him to see solutions from all angles.
Jamie is relishing the challenge of becoming a Chartered Engineer.

Jamie has maintained a wide set of skills from physical electronics to high level project management of multidisciplined international teams, is not afraid to get his hands dirty, still finds technology exciting and is driven by the natural high of seeing designs work. His numerous skills include:
  • Multidisciplined project and programme management
  • Requirements capture, elicitation, verification and validation
  • Systems Engineering duties (requirements traceability, analysis, capturing and validation) using Cradle v6.3.
  • Schematic entry and some PCB layout, Software, Integration, ATE, Test, Analysis and flight trial support
  • EMC, Safety, Environmental, HALT and HASS testing and consultancy (including to MIL-STD 810 and other rail/medical standards)
  • Worked to and produced documentation to DO-254, following PIP design review gates SRR, PDR, CDR etc
  • Used SmarTeam to electronically redact, store, track, control and transmit documents (classified or otherwise
  • NI TestStand script writing and debug
